Alt-Rock band from Kent, Dohny Jep are set to release there brand new EP ‘Smile, It Might Never Happen’ on February 26th 2021 via Favour The Brave Records.
The band released there debut album L.U.S.T last year in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic and had a string of shows planned throughout the year, but sadly like many artists, all of the lives shows where cancelled. So instead of sitting around doing nothing, Dohny Jep headed to there recently built home studio to record an explosive new EP.
However, the band didn’t do this alone. They had some help from Assistant Producer Rhy May who is Dan Lancasters Assistant who’s known for his work with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps & Don Broco. This is going to be an absolute belter of an EP.
‘Smile, It Might Never Happen’ explores mental health, friendships & letting go of the negatives in your life & living life in the moment.
Prior to the EP’s release, the band released there first single of the year ‘Looking In’ which was released on January 29th 2021. The band commented on the release “Looking in is about feeling left out and neglected, wanting to be included but also struggling to make these feelings known, causing you to never really get anywhere”
We are very much looking forward to the bands upcoming EP release. We’ve been absolutely blown away by artists during the pandemic. Working on music in-between lockdowns & completely separated, having to create music using the powers of the internet. It takes a lot of hard work, determination & extreme patience to get things like this completed in the way that bands like Dohny Jep have done.
Hopefully, we will see the end of all of this madness & live events will return so we can see our favourite artists do the things they truly love on stage.
