Bath-based record label Pale Wizard Records are currently working on creating a tribute LP to pay tribute to legendary Rockstar Alice Cooper.
Alice Cooper’s 4th album, Killer, was released on November 27th 1971 and has gone on to become one of the most loved albums in his whole discography. The album itself features tracks such as ‘Under My Wheels’ ‘Yeah, Yeah, Yeah’ and ‘You Drive Me Nervous’.
The tribute album itself is apart of a new album series that the label has called ’50 Years Later’ and is to pay tribute to artists music 50 years after the albums initial release. ‘Alice Cooper, Killer – 50 Years Later’ will feature some of the most renowned underground artists such as Green Lung, The Grand Mal, Sergeant Thunderhoof’s & Mos Generator. The lead single in ’71 was ‘Under My Wheels’ which has been resurrected 50 years later by Green Lung who have done an incredible job in covering this song and in such a way that even Alice himself would be proud to hear it.
On 12th March 2021, Pale Wizard Records launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fundraise the LP, which has currently raised over £5,000, which is over £2,000 over their original goal. This very much means that ‘Alice Cooper, Killer – 50 Years Later’ will definitely be coming to life this November.
The new LP will be released on CD, Vinyl & will be available on all major platforms.
Who will be featuring in the new LP?
The Grand Mal,
Trippy Wicked and the Cosmic Children of the night,
Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell
and Ritual King.
